Eureka Springs Arkansas Mountain Biking

Downhill mountain biking in Arkansas is just 1 hour away from Bentonville. Lake Leatherwood is the place, located in Eureka Springs. Downhill all day as they say. Eight different trails to choose from ranging from a green DH6, to double black DH7. DH4 and DH5 are blue and the rest are black trails. Start easy, since they are 3-6 minute long and lots of fun! The trails offer good flow and chunk with drops and jumps of all sizes for all skills. There’s this really cool dude named Nick. He operates a shuttle service and manages the Topo motel where he drops you off. It”s the only place in North West Arkansas you have to pay.. but its totally worth it. $35 for laps on laps and this place is awesome. Lake Leatherwood

Lake Leatherwood offers some of the best downhill mountain biking in Arkansas. First two photos are on DH3. You can see the drop from up top as you roll down the trail coming around a corner and across a bridge before the roll in. It’s a fun one for sure.. The other drop is on DH4 it comes in on a left hander keep speed and it goes. Landing is long and into a big berm. These trails are a great example of tech-flow. a good time is and here.

Passion Play

If you park up top and see lots of church, or religious things and buildings, you are in the right place. Small sample but this place was fun. We road the enduro bikes and that was a smart choice. The two most recommended trails from Nick, the shuttle driver and a local said Armageddon and Prussian Blue. Steep and fun to flow and tech both trails didn’t disappoint. We came across a few skinny and bridges. Overall, looks like a great place to ride. I’ll need to come back to Eureka Springs, just for this trail system.
